On Elegance with Audrey Hepburn and Angelina Jolie

On Elegance with Audrey Hepburn and Angelina Jolie amidst Damascene Rose

… as much as I am into words, and I am eternally twirling in the spark and magic of words,

when interracial dialogue is at play, or, forget it,

whenever dealing with other humans, oftentimes, an eye to eye contact or a smile might work wonders.

Even better, conveying vibrant energies can act as an icebreaker.

Energy — might take the lead.

Energy — might vibe better than words.

For, energies feel louder than words.

Warm feels warm and it dissolves ice.

Warmth makes the candle bearers slide through.
The thin veil vanishes.
The heart bearers become visible.
(excerpt from my book in the becoming)

No longer is there any need for the "Tabouleh Interrogation"**:

Where do you come from-from?

What happened?

Married? To whom?

Where your heart at? Ups! I have typed that by mistake. This part is included when I speak of an elegant approach.

The dress, what brand is it?

Your underwear, where did you…?

Oh, pardon me, but we, Romanians, aren’t intrusive Orientals!

But excuse me, Monsieur!

We don’t do that...

And when corroborated with an elegant approach...

What would an elegant approach be, for me and to my belief?

Kindness: of the speech, tone of voice, manners, and deeds, of the heart.

For you and to your belief?

"Nothing would mean anything if I didn't live a life of use to others".
Words of a Great Lady of Humanity — Angelina Jolie

Elegance is kind.

Elegance is humane.

And elegance is eternal.

For... elegance doesn’t run out of fashion.

At the threshold of turning 40, I realise that it was basically my energy… and my way of being — ma maniére, to have carved success for me, on a professional level.

I shall skip, completely, my personal life in this post, where nothing! neither my energy nor my looks or brain or any sense of anything could or did save the day.

"Or, perhaps I was detoured into saving everything, everything for the best day… about to manifest?" is a question that crosses my mind as we speak.

Let us get back to energy!

As I was saying: the energy I put into projects and into the story, especially, manifested as success, leads, market demand, an incredible word of mouth, and so on, and so forth, for more than a decade.

Of course, that was spiced up by my overall style. They call it "personal branding", nowadays...

But — I was pretty much unaware of it, back then.

I am aware of it now.

It was energy.

And, after all, energy might be elegance:

“Elegance is not being noticed, it's about being remembered.”
– Giorgio Armani.

Elegance is much needed.

Maybe nowadays, at this chaotic threshold of a perpetual transition, we need to revert to elegance, to being elegant: not only in our looks but also in the depth of our skin, in the energy, the tone of voice, and the words we utter.

But most importantly, in our deeds and acts of kindness.

As Coco Chanel had advised, in good time:
“Elegance is when the inside is as beautiful as the outside.”

We should walk the elegance, talk the elegance and render the energy of elegance more often than not.

Thinking of and looking after each other, as humans, competing in doing good ought to (re)be(come) the elegant norm of the day.

What do you think about it?

**Dear Reader,

The "Tabouleh Interrogation" has been a recurrent theme of my life ever since I stepped off the plane “No:1992, I am taking you to Bucharest, from the core of Damascus, to deliver you to your grannie: Mamaie Eugenia!”

That is until Now:

Now has been taken over by Heart.
